We are passionate about providing comprehensive health care options to rural and remote communities.

Why rural health?

For years we have seen patients from far and wide, that have flown in to see us, or booked virtual appointments due to the lack of holistic and comprehensive health care available in their local towns. Our naturopaths have seen hundreds of clients from Rockhampton, Gladstone, Goondiwindi, Roma, Mt. Isa, Mackay and more. We’re passionate about offering health education and services to those that are located outside of our major city centres.

Rockhampton as a home base

At this stage, we are running our first satellite clinic out of Rockhampton. We launched Rockhampton in September 2018 and were delighted by the positive feedback we have had from locals, both in regards to our workshops and one on one consultations with our naturopaths.

Rockhampton makes an ideal location to begin as it is the heart of rural queensland. Our founder Katherine Maslen’s family is originally from Rockhampton and we many clients that we have seen from Rocky over the years. We have already began to build some fantastic partnerships with local health and wellness businesses and look forward to forging some great relationships in the coming months.

What do we offer in Rockhampton?

  • Live workshops
  • In person naturopathic assessment and diagnosis sessions (90min)
  • Virtual memberships (with online consultations) in between our Rockhampton visits to keep our members on track

Every 3 months (moving to every 6 weeks next year) we offer the following service in Rockhampton…

Live workshops to help locals be inspired and educated to change their health.

Our next workshops are:

Environmental Toxins

Friday 30th November 6.00 – 7.30pm

In this workshop our founder Katherine Maslen will teach you how to identify chemical substances in your environment that may be harmful to your health. The toxic load that we have from our environment is huge – from what we put on our skin to the foods we eat to the air we breathe – we need to be very conscious to choose and consume the right things to help reduce toxicity in the body.

The toxins we are speaking about have been associated with:

  • Thyroid disruption
  • Increases in hormonal problems and infertility
  • Effects on memory and IQ
  • Effects on blood pressure and moods

$29 per person – free for our Local members.

Thyroid Health

Sunday 1st December 9.00am – 11.30am

Thyroid issues can seem confusing and are often very slow to improve. Issues like weight gain, fatigue, brain fog and mood changes can really impact the thyroid patient’s life. In this workshop author and naturopath Katherine Maslen will help you understand why your thyroid is not functioning well and what you can do about it.

There are lots of specific nutrients that are involved in thyroid hormone production – knowing what to eat and what not to eat can be the difference between your treatment being effective or not. And thyroxine is only a small piece of the puzzle, which is why for some many people it doesn’t completely fix the issue.

Katherine has helped thousands of patients with thyroid issues and can help you understand how your thyroid affects you day to day. She will be talking about autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s and Grave’s Disease) and what specifically you need to to do help these conditions. We will also talk about which other body systems may be affecting your thyroid and how natural therapies may help to rebalance the system and improve your symptoms.

In this workshop you’ll discover…

  • Why thyroid disorders are so common
  • The essential nutrients your thyroid needs to function (even if you’re taking thyroxine)
  • Which foods to eat to boost thyroid function, and which to avoid
  • What causes Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and how natural treatment can help
  • What causes Grave’s Disease and how natural treatment can help
  • Which diet works best for thyroid and specific foods to eat

Fatigue & Sleep

Saturday 1st December 1.00pm – 3.30pm

Are you tired? How long have you been tired? When was the last time you felt great? I this workshop naturopath and author Katherine Maslen will help you understand why fatigue happens and what you can do about it.

Insomnia and poor quality sleep obviously is a major factor in fatigue and you’ll learn why and how to fix it. But fatigue can go way beyond a lack of sleep – it can be due to nutritional deficiencies, immune factors, hormones and much much more.

Anyone that has trouble sleeping knows how frustrating it is, and how much of an impact it has. Your sleep/wake cycle is essential for energy production but also moods and hormonal balance. By correcting energy and sleep, other areas of health will improve and you’ll be feeling great again in no time!

  • Why fatigue is so common
  • Which nutrients and food you need to make energy
  • The causes of insomnia and what to do about it
